Interested in Theraplay Training?

On behalf of the New River Valley Attachment Resources Group, I am asking for your input. Since the inception of the New River Valley Attachment Resources Group in December 2006, we have facilitated and/or sponsored trainings for over 800 professionals. We have also identified the need for more professionals to be trained in attachment based therapies in order to refer children for treatment. To that end, we have identified a need for Theraplay training in the New River Valley (see www.theraplay.org  for more information on Theraplay). This training is normally offered in Chicago, Illinois or other venues, but the executive director of Theraplay is willing to send trainers to the New River Valley if we can secure 15 professionals who will commit to the training.

The 4-day intensive training costs $695 and includes the 3rd edition of the Theraplay book and 26 CE credits. We are looking at a Fall 2010 date for the training. Completing this course enables practitioners to use the Theraplay techniques, including the Marshack Interaction Method (MIM) assessment.
